Seeking Surgical Services Nurse Manager!Full-time, Days*Bonus Eligible** distributed over one year, external applicants only*
Baptist Health FloydSouthern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky areaIn this role, the nurse manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the staff in their department, programs, budgets, schedules, payroll, and equipment. They are to provide leadership through communication and relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the healthcare environment and business skills. The Nurse Manager functions as an extension of the Director of their department by implementing policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital within the unit managed.Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing* Master's degree preferred; If no current Master's degree and not pursing, must obtain national certification in leadership within 2 years.
* Three (3) years nursing experience; One (1) year charge nurse or supervisory experience required.* Proficient in all clinical skills related to department* Prior supervisory experience* BLS for Healthcare Providers required* ACLS certification (obtained within 6 months of hire)* National specialty certification and/or National certification in Nursing Leadership preferredBaptist Health Floyd is a Pathway to Excellence designated organization.We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
