JOB DETAILS

JOB SUMMARY

Internally, we refer to the Accounts Receivable Clerk as a Premium Specialist. The Premium Specialistprovides excellent customer service to members and producers as well as to internal customers while reconciling daily insurance sales transactions. This position is also responsible to complete all assigned tasks in a professional and timely manner while interacting successfully with team members to process a large volume of work each day.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate invoices
  • Process payments via credit cards, wires/ACH transfers, checks, and eChecks
  • Reconcile daily insurance sales transactions and ad hoc reconciliations
  • Process cancellations
  • Respond to incoming emails and phone calls in a professional and informative, timely manner
  • Identify challenges and provide workable solutions
  • Relationship management - proactively build effective, strategic relationships with clients and insurance producers while providing high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identify priorities and set goals that align with daily business needs
  • Responsible for the preparation of the commission payment cycle and responding to commission-related inquiries
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Other job duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in an Accounts Receivable role
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in utilizing Microsoft office software programs with above average data entry skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Associate's degree in Accounting a plus but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of reconciliation experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated individual with proven ability to maintain positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous medical insurance industry experience preferred but not required
