Join an exciting and inclusive work environment where your work matters and we put the customer at the center of all we do. SAIC is offering a summer/fall internship for college undergraduates committed to a major in business or related fields to work in business development/business analytics.

You will be a direct report to an SAIC Senior Vice President, Business Development, working in areas related to business analytics and forecasting, proposal preparation, and competitive intelligence. This new internship will provide both formal and experiential learning with coaching, mentoring and feedback that will prepare you for an entry level business development or business analytics position in aerospace and defense.

Business Development Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in market research and strategy development for the SAIC's newly formed National Security and Space Sector, a $2.5B/year organizational unit
  • Assist in preparing high quality proposal content under supervision of an expert: past performance research, compliance checking, content planning and development
  • Perform analysis on the sector's pipeline of sales opportunities under the supervision of a business analytics specialist: develop award forecasts, submit projections
  • Assist in tracking business development spending versus budget

Qualifications

  • Pursuing of college degree in Finance, Statistics, Economincs, Analytics or related discipline
  • Graduating 2022 or 2023 with Bachelors or Masters
  • Federal law requires you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible to obtain a clearance, if required
  • Additional Required Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills; superior writing skills.
  • Strong interest in working for an aerospace and defense company committed to our national security

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in advanced features of Microsoft Excel i.e. pivot tables, macros.
  • Familiarity / programming experience in PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods.

Target salary range: $55,001 - $65,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
