We take action and achieve results.The ABA Summer Internship Program provides students with a full-time, paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in a number of departments across ABA.The 2022 cohort will work 37.5 hours per week from June 2022 until August 2022.This opportunity will be based in Washington, DC.An internship opportunity is available with our Communications Department to assist with managing our member communication initiatives.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in marketing projects such as drafting copy and directives for copywriters, email marketing, direct mail, website organization, research and project management.Copy proofingManaging graphic design projectsWork on projects for ABAs Americas Banks reputational campaign, including researching stories, bank outreach and organizing and developing contentSupport ABAs social media initiatives including brainstorming ideas for Instagram that includes sharing intern related content, execution of Takeover Tuesday campaign with interns, monitor member banks weekly through ABA Twitter lists and look for user generated #AmericasBanks content that ABA can use on our own social media channelsAssist PR mailings & clippingsRequired Skills Deadline drivenAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and keen attention to detailStrong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skillsExperience working with various social media platforms in a professional context is desirableExcellent customer service skillsMinimum Education Requirements for all postingsJunior/Senior standing or Graduate student with a degree focused in Business, Communications or Marketing.Minimum 3.0 GPADuration/Hours:June 6, 2022 August 12, 2022Pay rate is $20/hourFull-time; 37.5 hours per week**Positions are in person in our DC office
