Responsibilities

Want to be part of our nation's highest national security priorities? The Engineering Operations department is seeking highly motivated mechanical engineers for our Odon, Indiana office, which is located just outside the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane in Westgate@Crane. This office supports a growing technological ecosystem, boasting over sixty high-tech companies, a leading government lab, cutting-edge academic research, and over 5,000 technical professionals. The facility is situated just south of Bloomington, Indiana, rated by Livability in '21 as one of the top places to live in the U.S. As a team member, you will be on the ground floor as Draper builds out engineering capability to design next-generation strategic missile guidance and control systems that operate in hostile military and space environments, all while expanding our nation's preeminence in microelectronics for national security. You will be a key member of Draper's nationally distributed team, called upon by our government and academic partners to produce exquisite and robust solutions to some of our nation's most important technical challenges

Draper is seeking all experience levels of talented and motivated individuals to tackle challenging engineering problems. As a Digital Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering solutions to customers in diverse application areas including signal and image processing, hardware security, communications, machine learning and embedded computing. You will be responsible for the design from concept to delivery while adhering to schedules and budgets. You will also work on design verification using SystemVerilog and methodologies such as UVM. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams with opportunities to learn, grow and contribute to a variety of projects. Join us as we develop the next generation of embedded hardware platforms.

The successful candidate will contribute to the architecture and design of digital systems incorporating FPGAs and ASICs. The candidate must have experience with FPGA or ASIC design or embedded computing. Applicants should also understand high level design, simulation and verification and be familiar with tools and process flows supporting the design and verification of digital ASICs and FPGAs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Understanding of digital design and simulation techniques
  • Knowledge of computing architectures
  • Familiarity with verification and verification methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with digital IC design
  • Experience with FPGA and PCB design

Security Requirement:

  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
