Responsibilities:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-rounded Discrete Electronics Technologist to join the Draper team. The right candidate will be self-motivated and capable of serving as a subject matter expect regarding the current state-of-process regarding discrete electronics and their associated supply chains.

The ideal candidate is someone who works well in cross-functional teams and has previous experience with electronic system design. Relevant experience interfacing with vendors, managing supply chain issues, managing part obsolescence, managing risk, and developing detailed documentation are desired.

Core Responsibilities:
*Identification of discrete electronic parts and suppliers, to include transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, magnetic components, and special devices.

*Generation of discrete part specifications and identification of commercial equivalent parts as applicable.

*Interfacing, as necessary, with electrical design subtask to develop required part list updates as necessary.

* Working with corporate quality and program protection to develop plans for trusted and assured discrete electronics supply chains

*Generating detailed schedules defining parts management tasks and associated milestones

*Participating in recurring cross-organization meetings related to electronic parts programs. Some travel may be required for these meetings.

Qualifications:
* BSEE or equivalent technical degree.
* 5+ years overall experience
* Great EE fundamentals
* Strong analysis and problem solving skills
* Experience working with all aspects of discrete electronics including transistors, resistors, capacitors, inductors, connectors, relays, etc.

* Experience with radiation-hardened electronics is desired.

Security Requirement:
Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Candidate is expected to be local and capable of working onsite. Remote work may be periodically allowed based upon program needs.
