We are looking for a Materials Planner for our Marshall, Michigan plant to contribute to our Clean Air business group. You will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. Our top candidate will have had exposure to the materials area of a manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules.
  • Compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
  • Interface with manufacturing with respect to schedule controls, inventory management, capacity utilization and customer needs.
  • Plan shipments and arrange for carriers to deliver product to our customers.
  • Order appropriate quantities of raw materials while working within our inventory goals.
  • Monitor flow of goods in and out and correct manufacturing plans accordingly. Communicate any changes to the plan to manufacturing as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or higher preferred. Equivalent experience acceptable.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a materials function within a manufacturing facility.
