Technician - CNC Mill

Starting at $22 per hour ( Based on Experience)

Reports to: Supervisor - Tool Room

Department: Engineering

Qualification Period: One year

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Must possess the ability to learn and progress in the CNC Mill classification by learning the following (but not limited to) areas:

• Mastercam computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
• NC code interpretation
• Tooling definitions and specifications
• Machine setups and jig creation

Other general duties:

• Tool room 5S
• Crib saw cutting
• Drill presses, tool grinders, bandsaws, and other general tool room machines
• Tool sharpening grinder
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Heavy lifting may be required.
• Must purchase own tools.
• The employee has the responsibility and authority to stop production when a suspect product is being manufactured.
• Conform with Tenneco's Environmental, Safety & Health Management System Policy.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass internal mechanical comprehension test and toolroom math test.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous tool and die experience preferred. Experience with FANUC & HAAS CNC mill controls will be given priority.

• Apprenticeship program or associate degree in machine tool & die will also be considered.
