PAID PARTNER RELATIONS INTERN - DATA AND COMMUNICATION
The Cancer Support Community (CSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people impacted by cancer through a global network of partners. We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate individual for our paid Partner Relations Intern - Data and Communication position. This internship will be completed remotely from a location in the United States. CSC adheres to all public health guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through this internship, you will gain valuable experience in website administration, database management, relationship building, the real-world implications of data analysis, nonprofit functionality, and much more. The Partner Relations Intern - Data and Communication will be an integral member of the team.
Job Responsibilities:
* Support Partner Relations Coordinator with the monthly e-newsletter for network partners and CSC headquarters staff. This includes collecting updates from CSC departments, assembling the newsletter, and distributing it via email and the Community Hub (intranet site).
* Work with Partner Data & Communications Coordinator to update the Find a Location section of the CSC website as appropriate.
* Work with Partner Data & Communication Coordinator to perform data collection for the CancerSupportSource.
* Work with Partner Data & Communications Coordinator to manage Frankly Speaking About Cancer workshops tracking.
* Provide administrative, meeting, and logistics support as needed.
* Assist with other network partner-related projects, as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, public health, or other relevant disciplines or degrees; individuals with equivalent experience, recent graduates, and/or students taking a gap year are also invited to apply.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong research and computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, Salsa, and Smartsheet.
* Effective organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* An interest in nonprofit operations.
* Passion for helping people impacted by cancer preferred.
Duration: January-May 2023.
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday-Friday); must be available in 4-8 hour blocks of time.
Salary: $14/hour
