About the Unit:
We are looking for high performing Registered Nurses to join our team and provide best practice post-op care in ourVascular-Thoracic Unit (VTU / 5 East). This highly specialized, high acuity 21-bed unit provides care to patients post vascular and thoracic surgery. Our care delivery is evidence based and our interdisciplinary team is highly collegial. This active, fast-paced unit cares for patients who have had carotid surgery, lower extremity bypass, aneurysm repairs, arterial-lines, advanced DVT intervention, chest tubes, etc. RNs in this unit have autonomous scheduling and do an everythird-weekend rotation. Job Duties:
The Vascular Thoracic nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Vascular Thoracic nurses must have strong critical thinking skills. The nurse acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient's healthcare journey.

BCLS Required
ACLS Required
