Hot Stamp Technician
  • Ensure all equipment and the work areas are cleaned daily and are free of safety hazards. Operate all machinery according to established safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Actively participate, practice, and improve upon the 5S philosophy (Sort, Sequence, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
  • Set-up and operation of hot stamping lines as required. This includes setting of dies, press operation, fault recovery, transfer and robot adjustments to achieve world class quality and throughput as required for all hot stamped products.
  • To ensure quality inspections (including incoming material) and submit product samples to QC department at defined frequencies for destructive testing, initializing the General Reaction Plan for Noncomforming Material as required.
  • Operate / monitor the hot stamp line according to approved operating parameters and procedures. Make parameter adjustments as required to maintain world class quality and productivity standards.
  • Support daily TPM Program as defined by approved operating procedures. In addition, have a general understanding of the machine functions to perform necessary process audit procedures.
  • Prep spare parts for TPM / PM activities as necessary.
  • Participate in periodic PM events as they occur.
  • Recognize, troubleshoot, and correct defective tooling and machine malfunctions, referring complicated problems needing assistance to Setters and proper support personal.
  • Support Maintenance, Automation, and Toolroom in repairing and/or cleaning of tooling and machines. Complete downtime, scrap, and productivity reporting on a shift by shift basis.
  • Maintain product traceability from the time raw material is received through final inspection.
  • Navigate and utilize the company software to properly route material through the plant and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Initiate repair work orders for support groups as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that may arise.
Education / Experience / Skills:
  • High school diploma with additional technical training preferred.
  • Basic trouble-shooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability required.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Basic hand tools required.
  • One year technical experience preferred. (Not required)
