This position's responsibilities include but are not limited to: gathering report data, assisting finance organizations with report automations and data streams, as well as working with management to structure the recurring business reporting framework. The position may be based in Skokie, Illinois and reports directly to the Finance Director, Indirect Procurement of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize spend reports, exception reports, compliance and non-compliance reports as required and structured by the team.
  • Distribute and socialize indirect procurement plans, initiatives and results to appropriate stakeholders in the organization.
  • Assist and interface with the finance organizations with report automation and data streams to improve the accuracy, sustainability and timeliness of key reports. Maintain and improve the integrity of the of the Sourcing tools such as the Global Spend Cube, Wave, Dashboards, and score cards.
  • Ensures the availability of optimal reporting tools for management and the Sourcing end-user community by developing and maintaining a catalog of available reports and analytical tools.
  • Review existing Systems and provide inputs and guidance for changes and enhancements which will drive process improvements and enhanced user experience.
  • Works with management to structure the recurring business reporting framework. Develops and tracks key performance metrics including: spend and savings, efficiency of requisition key processes, and adherence of purchasing activities with company and regulatory directives.
  • Review existing Systems and provide inputs and guidance for changes and enhancements which will drive process improvements and enhanced user experience.
  • Develops training documentation and designs and conducts end user training sessions on various information systems and specific reports used by Sourcing.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned and participate in special projects as required.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with business units, including its various locations
  • Drive continuous improvement in personal responsibilities, team, and wider Tenneco organization
  • Significant capability, drive and initiative to create and manage own work agenda

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science

Experience: Minimum three (3) years related experience in data analysis, with emphasis in manufacturing/ operations analysis.

Skills

  • Strong ability to interpret large volumes of data, think through complex problems, determine proper analytical processes and procedures, independently derive conclusions and present results and business cases to senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (use financial and logical functions; work with multiple worksheets and workbooks; edit and use macros; import and export information).
  • Excellent Project Management and communication skills.
  • Ability and Willingness to understand and interact with diverse groups and cultures.
  • Ability and Willingness to respond quickly and appropriately in a dynamic high charged work environment.
  • Able to multitask and pivot focus to shifting priorities present large amounts of data in a clear and concise manner
  • Goal oriented and result based thinking
  • Exceptional capability to lead conversations, hold presentations and facilitate discussions
