Design and Architecture Specialist

The Customs and Border Protection (CPB) Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) Design and Architecture Specialist shall serve as the lead for enforcement of design standards, development of facility strategies and reviews of designs for Border Patrol and Air & Marine Operations facilities during the project planning, design, and construction phases.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Design and Architecture Specialist: $100,000 to $135,000.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Design and Architecture Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Assists the Government in the enforcement of design standards, development of facility strategies and reviews of designs for Border Patrol and Air & Marine Operations facilities during the project planning, design, and construction phases to ensure the Government standards are followed. Performs and reviews portfolio planning including facility assessments, alternative analysis, and cost estimates. Reviews design plans or work with designers to make sure the Government, state, and local regulations, codes, directives, and standards are met.
  • Coordinates and participates in the preparation of field drawings and diagrammatic sketches to be provided to designers for incorporation into new or revised plans and specification for the projects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Design and Architecture Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must have/or be able to obtain a CBP Public Trust.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
