Job Description

TSC is seeking a Software Engineer, in Plymouth, MA. This position supports the Airborne Solutions and ISR (ASI) Division.

Responsibilities:

This position will support various software engineering efforts and is responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to improve our web-based application and extend back-end capabilities. Duties include meeting with engineering to determine the customers software needs, coding, testing software to ensure functionality, and updating software programs.

  • Collaborating with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on customer driven and internal requirements.
  • Testing and deploying programs and applications for electromechanical systems as well as airborne technologies.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in web-based application development and back-end system design.
  • Proficiency in Linux based software development (Ubuntu is a plus).
  • Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python and JavaScript with frameworks or systems such as Bootstrap, jQuery, and Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a small team and independently as required.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Mobile Ad-hoc Networking (MANET) experience.
  • Experience with RF systems and computer networking.
  • Experience in process improvement, and equipment / process validation.
  • Ability to travel to CONUS customer sites (<10%)
