Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of our Gillett Tooling Department, the Mold Maker will learn all functions of mold making to create quality molds to customer specifications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Ability to perform procedures for most of the tooling duties such as:
• Lamination
• Gel coating
• Sanding
• Buffing
• Sheet waxing
• Pull/cutoff
• Waxing
• Work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to repair defects
• Ability to place gaskets on tooling.
• Utilizes time and skills effectively.
• Produce quality products at or above expectations
• Uses safety guidelines and proper PPE to protect self and reminds others of importance.
• Maintain all necessary documentation related to position.

• Good eyesight or corrective lenses.
• Self-starter, stay on task, utilizes times and skills effectively.
• Pays attention to detail.
• Good Communication skills, communicates effectively.
• Can identify correct material to use to produce a quality part.
• Can accurately use all gauges.
• Uses knowledge of all tools and equipment related to mold making.
• Uses knowledge of root cause of quality issues that arise to help eliminate defect & uses proper procedure to fix defect.
• Uses safety guidelines & proper PPE to protect self and reminds others of importance.
