We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Medical Trainer & Urine Drug Screening Coordinator.

Location: Deploying to Iraq

Responsibilities:

Medical Training:

  • As a Diplomatic Security Medic Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the competency of our medical personnel by assisting in the organization of cognitive skills testing and meticulously preparing equipment and testing sites.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver tailored continuing medical education programs, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of our Diplomatic Security Medics.
  • Collaborate with our team to coordinate training sessions across various sites, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Take the lead in conducting public outreach classes, such as CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of our community.
  • Maintain our robust inventory of training equipment

Urine Drug Screening Coordination:

  • Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be paramount as you conduct drug screen collections with precision and professionalism.
  • Serve as a mentor to new hires, providing comprehensive training and conducting regular refresher sessions to maintain the highest standards of practice.
  • Maintain meticulous records of certification for all collectors, ensuring compliance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Efficiently organize and schedule donors, prioritizing confidentiality and adherence to established procedures.
  • Take ownership of data collection and entry processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness at all times.
  • Uphold quality assurance standards for collections and paperwork, playing a key role in maintaining the integrity of our screening process.
  • Provide vital assistance to logistics in the packaging and shipping of collections, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory mandates.

Paramedic Support:

  • In addition to your role as a trainer and coordinator, you will serve as a dependable paramedic, filling in positions as needed in both clinical and ambulance settings.
  • Step up to the plate as the acting EMS Director when necessary, ensuring seamless operations and continuity of care for our patients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Combat Medic or Navy Corpsman is highly desirable and will be viewed favorably.
  • Possession of a current State Paramedic license and NREMT certification is mandatory.
  • You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), with previous supervisor experience being advantageous.
  • Current instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are essential, with additional NAEMT Instructor certifications being highly advantageous.
  • Recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year is a requirement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro is essential for this role.
  • A valid U.S. Driver's License and Passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration are mandatory.
  • You must undergo a favorable security background check and drug screen and be capable of obtaining an MRPT clearance.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, and fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • You must be confirmed by a medical examination to be medically and dentally fit for duty.
  • While the majority of work will be performed in a typical office environment, travel within Iraq will be required by air.
  • The climate in Baghdad is desert-like, characterized by hot temperatures and occasional dust storms.
