JOB DESCRIPTION:

Safe launch operators ensure company and customer quality standards are being met. The work under the supervision of the quality assurance manager where they conduct quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor daily quality inspections, check sheets and calibrations
  • Confirm quality-training matrix
  • Liaison with QA department regarding quality issues & counter measures
  • Lead person for in-house sorts, containment of quality issues
  • Confirm communications of quality issues between shifts
  • Monitor line conditions for quality
  • Monitor & verify trials & new line start-ups
  • Collect & analyze data for continuous improvement
  • Confirming/maintaining all document control
  • NCMR Reports


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:

  • 2-5 years' experience in assembly
  • JDE experience / hold transfers
  • Assembly inspection knowledge
  • Familiarity with heat treat is preferred
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly if necessary
  • Able to sit, kneel, squat or bend, for long lengths of times
  • Able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Experience with gauging instruments
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Capable of learning various software
  • High School Diploma
