Job Description

TSC's Innovation & Product Cell (IPC) is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager in Huntsville, AL, with an educational and/or industry focus in the processes and procedures to manage advanced RF-based fuze sensors through the entire product lifecycle. TSC's IPC team is chartered with developing new products by leveraging technology across TSC. This team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in managing RF-based fuze technologies such as proximity, height-of-burst (HOB), or seeker sensors spanning both development and manufacturing for missile, rocket, and gun-launched munition platforms. This position requires an individual familiar with rapid product development and its inherent challenges to manufacturability. The individual in this position works with customers, business development, engineering, finance, and production teams to conceive, develop, test, produce, and sustain products across multiple product lines.

  • Develop and maintain product business cases and sales forecast
  • Develop and manage yearly product line budgets in support of product line improvements
  • Develop and maintain product pricing to include all supporting documentation
  • Provide ROMs and Quotes to customers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain product roadmaps
  • Track product issues and execute ECOs within the roadmap and budgetary constraints
  • Collaborate with production and finance teams to plan product builds and execute within resource limitations
  • Manage product line inventory to minimize customer lead time within business limits
  • Support all phases of product development to influence design decisions to meet the product roadmap
  • Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products
  • Lead by example in creating and executing product management processes and methodologies

Required Qualifications:

  • BS and minimum 12 years of experience in DoD industry
  • Experience with the following areas is required:
    • Financial management of product line(s) for at least 5 years
    • DCAA audit of FAR-compliant product pricing
    • Product deliveries and support to USG and FVEY partners
    • Operating within AS9100 or ISO9001 process structure
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and subject matter expertise
  • Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with proximity/HOB or seeker fuze technologies in a product development environment
  • Experience working with or as an end user of missile, rocket, or gun-launched munitions utilizing fuze technologies such as proximity and seeker technologies.
  • Experience working in both DoD and commercial industry
  • Experience supporting production numbers >100 units per year
  • Experience developing and improving product managements processes
