Join Benchmark as an Employment Consultant to help develop and implement individualized plans to assist people with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment positions in the community.

Must be able to travel to Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather essential details about referred individuals to devise strategies for achieving community-based employment goals, utilizing both in-person and remote communication.
• Establish connections, research, and retain information concerning local businesses' hiring needs and employee retention.
• Align employer expectations with the strengths and capabilities of individuals with disabilities who are underemployed or unemployed.
• Provide support to clients in interview preparation and transportation arrangements.
• Engage in communication and meetings with referring entities to plan, evaluate clients, and facilitate job placements.
• Supervise job coaches in activities such as job shadowing, assessments, and training tailored to individual client needs.
• Adhere to attendance requirements set by the program, Benchmark, and individual clients, ensuring consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) years experience in business world in management or supervisory role.
• College degree and/or some experience preferred with people with disabilities preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
