Provide project management from scope conception through engineering, fabrication and execution to key Nitrogen projects. You will be responsible for supporting business improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.

What You'll Do

As the Project Engineer, you will provide project management from scope conception through engineering, fabrication and execution for key Nitrogen projects. You will be responsible for supporting business improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility. Other duties will include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
  • Ensure Safe Act Observations (SAO), Job Step Analysis (JSA), Take 5's and all safety rules are being completed
  • Supports business improvements initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
  • Develop equipment designs and specifications for procurement -RFP (Request for Proposal)
  • Develop TOR (Terms of Reference) and CEP (Captial Expenditure Request) for projects
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the five-year CAPEX plan for the plant
  • Evaluate prospective equipment suppliers and contractors
  • Manage medium scale projects
  • Contribute to process & equipment solutions and supplier development efforts
  • Deal with broad cross-functional technical issues
  • Responsible for project cost delivery on projects (spending, depreciation, asset disposal, etc.)
  • Responsible for managing all documents of the project and proper record keeping
  • Ability to participate in HSE studies such as Job Safety Analysis, HAZOPs, Process Hazard Analysis, and Management of Change

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelors of science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years in a related industry with a proven track record in project management, problem-solving, startup, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge with the selection of process equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers and tanks.
  • Familiarity with automated process control in manufacturing operations, including temperature, flow, level, pressure, and pH instrumentation.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Develop detailed project cost estimates
  • Develop, prepare and present project proposals and documents to key stakeholders.
  • Project Management - Project Development, vendor/fabricator management, cost and schedule control
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
