POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Technical Support Engineer based in Indianapolis, IN (hybrid). The Technical Support Engineer will provide technical product support of dormakaba's mechanical products. They will communicate with internal and external customers, making recommendations and solving problems. This position will work closely with field technicians, customer service, management, sales representatives, engineering, and marketing, as well as end-users of dormakaba products. This position will act as a liaison between Sales office personnel and internal departments such as Marketing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Product Engineering, and Product Development.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $55,000 - $75,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Triage and troubleshoot requests
  • Provide clear and detailed solutions to customers
  • Use the ticketing system to accurately maintain and document activities of reported requests
  • Demonstrate professionalism that results in client satisfaction
  • Support Sales and Implementation teams

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft OS\Services\basic IP networking
  • Experience in customer service and/or technical support, in call center
  • Working a morning or evening schedule regularly and may require occasional on-call evening and weekend work in response to customer needs

WHAT WE PREFER

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Technical and/or sales experience withdormakabaproducts and other access control products
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French
