Training and Development Intern

General Description

Under the supervision of Training and Development teammates, the intern will help identify, design, update, and/or deliver learning initiatives that support our core curricula of business development, project management, and/or management and leadership.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Create learning modules, using software, such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office.
  • Work with stakeholders, in identifying individual and organizational development needs.
  • Administer Learning Management System, such as uploading SCORM Files.

Education and Experience.

  • Students must be enrolled in a secondary education, pursuing a degree in Learning and Development or similar career path.
  • Proficient PC skills including proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative, Articulate 360..

Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an HR Generalist, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
  • Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
  • Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
  • Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Infrequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed;
  • Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds
  • Periodic construction project visits, may include walking/standing on various terrain, including dirt, gravel, asphalt and other materials.

Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Human Resources Generalist encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and asphalt manufacturing facilities is required.
